Camping List

The troop has all the equipment necessary for campouts. Each Scout will need to have his own “personal gear." Presently, we have the following equipment:

  • Trailer

  • Tents

  • Patrol Boxes

  • Cooking Gear

  • Camping Tools

  • Snowshoes

Packing List for Campouts

**Clothing:**

  • Scout uniform (Class A and/or Class B)

  • Moisture-wicking t-shirts

  • Long-sleeve shirts

  • Fleece jacket or sweater

  • Waterproof jacket or rain poncho

  • Pants/shorts

  • Undergarments

  • Socks (wool or moisture-wicking)

  • Sturdy hiking boots or shoes

  • Camp shoes/sandals

  • Hat or cap for sun protection

  • Gloves or mittens (depending on weather)

  • Pajamas/sleepwear​

**Personal Items:**

  • Personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.)

  • Towel and washcloth

  • Sunscreen

  • Insect repellent

  • First aid kit

  • Prescription medications (if needed)

  • Personal hygiene items

  • Eating utensils (plate, bowl, cup, utensils) products, etc.)

**Sleeping Gear:**

  • Sleeping bag suitable for the season

  • Sleeping pad or mattress

  • Pillow or stuff sack filled with clothes

**Other Essentials:**

  • Daypack or backpack

  • Water bottles or hydration system

  • Map and compass or GPS device

  • Multi-tool or pocket knife

  • Flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries

  • Whistle

  • Emergency blanket

  • Lightweight rope or paracord

  • Duct tape

  • Notebook and pencil

**Optional Extras:**

  • Camera or smartphone for capturing memories

  • Camp chair or portable seating

  • Reading material or entertainment (book, cards, etc.)

  • Fishing gear (if allowed and desired)

  • Binoculars

  • Musical instrument (if lightweight and appropriate)
