Troop News

Hey Troop, this is your SPL Aaron Severson.

I would like to remind you guys that we have our first troop meeting of the school year this Tuesday, September 13th! Please make sure you arrive to the church on time at 6 PM so that we can get right into our action-packed night. We are going to be doing lots of fun activities, such as Kick Ball, First Aid, and learning some important Flag Folding/Raising techniques.

I hope you guys already heard this from your patrol leaders, but we are strongly encouraging you guys to invite at least one friend to this troop meeting. Our goal is to get 10 new scouts to join the troop by the end of the year and if we meet that goal, we are going to have a big pizza party. Attached to this email is a flyer you can print out and give to your friends of post on social media:

I would also like to remind you guys to bring and turn in any troop equipment you may still have from Many Point or any other events. It is important that you guys have cleaned the gear that was assigned to you after summer camp and bring it back so we can use it for future campouts.

One last reminder that we have our first campout of the year coming up on September 23. For this campout we will be attending the Fall Camporee that is held by the Northern Star Council every year up at Stearns Campground. The theme for this year is going to be wilderness survival, so plan to come prepared for a weekend of adventure. In the past, this has been a very fun camp out and I'm sure it will be a very similar scenario this year. The deadline to sign up for the campout is tomorrow night, September 12th, at midnight.
